Getting to Oro Valley by Air
The quickest and easiest way to visit Oro Valley by air is flying directly into Tucson International Airport (TUS). Only 25 miles (about a 30-minute drive) from Oro Valley, TUS offers 72 daily flights, 19 nonstop destinations, and easy access to 450+ worldwide destinations with a connection time of 2 hours or less. Oro Valley travelers are also served by Sky Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) – which is about 100 miles north of the town (under two hours by car). PHX has one of the largest selections of domestic and international flights in the Southwest.
From either airport, you’ll find rental cars, ride-share services, and shuttle options to make your trip seamless.
Driving to Oro Valley
If you love a road trip, driving to Oro Valley is a scenic treat. The area is well connected by major highways:
- From Phoenix – Take I-10 South to Tangerine Road (Exit 240) or Ina Road (Exit 248) for direct access.
- From Tucson – Head north on Oracle Road (AZ-77) and enjoy the mountain views as you approach.
- From the East or West – Connect to I-10, then follow signs toward Tucson and head north to Oro Valley.
Road trip bonus: If you’re coming from Phoenix, consider stopping at Picacho Peak State Park along the way.
