"My stone is a gift passed down from warriors past and living. The motivation for my work does not stem from wanting to win a show or from money. It evolves from the spirit of my ancestors and my own deep spiritual feelings. I enter this special place when I am carving and want people who become caretakers of the piece to be able to look at my work and enter that place as well."
